The Kikkerlland Ashtray Clock doubles as an ashtray

Damn, I love wall clocks! Don't you? Well, maybe 'cept those which don't let you sleep at night. Ninja clocks, wheel shaped clocks or clocks with electronic crazy cuckoos...They remind you of the meaning of "Carpe diem!" and you just stand there and admire beautiful details like the noon chuck hands, for instance.

Here's another weirdo: the Ashtray Clock. Yes, it's a decorative wall clock that doubles as an ashtray. It's "d?j? vu" alright, but this one comes in an interesting design. The seven-inch Kikkerlland is made of chromed steel so it can resist the attacks coming from cigarette butts and hot volcanic ash.

Chances are smokers will dislike this clock. This thing counts down to any smoker's "miraculous" death moment (sorry). Here's the vibe I'm getting from this clock: "Dude, it's time to quit smoking!". Ashtray Clock is not just a wall clock that's shaped as a wall ashtray. It really doubles as an ashtray, which is good considering that smokers will make a mess out of it in order to forget about time's consequences.

Cigarette break! Sorry, back in 5. Now, (cough) where was I? Oh, cancer. No, err, the Ashtray Clock, that's right. Continuing with the bad news. Here's what I think it will happen to the "clockroaches" that are "die-easy" smokers. If someone installs this in a cubicle, not only the "clockroachers" will countdown the left minutes until their next. Come to think of it, some smokers will actually drawl associating the thing with a nicotine fix. So, introducing the Ashtray wall clock in a cubicle scenario is definitely not a good idea.

The Kikkerlland Ashtray Clock requires one AAA battery and it's available for $35,99. It would've been nicer if it came with cigarette-like hands.
