If you feel the need for a wireless audio system setup, but you spent too much money on your existing speakers to just buy new ones, the solution could be as simple as going for Teufel's new RearStation 4 that can transform any speaker set into an wireless audio solution.

In order to do so, the RearStation 4 comes as a kit made up of a wireless transmitter and a receiver, the transmitter connecting to wide range of devices, including HiFi receivers, Blu-ray players, game consoles and radio tuners via stereo line inputs.

On the other hand, the receiver will connect to your speakers, the unit also coming with built-in 2x30W amplification, making them ideal to be used for the two rear surround channels or entry-level HiFi setups.

According to Teufel, the units can operate over a range of up to 20m, so they can be used to cover very large rooms or in order to stream music to another part of the house, although their effective range will be shortened by all the obstacles that come between them (walls, for example).

Furthermore, each transmitter can support up to three receiver units so you can install additional units for each room of your house, the expansion units coming with 80 watts of maximum output and an included remote control.

As all Teufel products, the RearStation 4 is available for purchase only online from the company's website and comes with an eight-week money-back no-questions-asked guarantee.

The kit itself is priced at £269, extra receiver units being also available for purchase for £179 each, so going for a multi-room setup should prove to be pretty expensive.

However, getting rid of all the wires that one has to lie around the house in order to build a multi-room setup will be definitely worth it, especially if these manage to deliver an OK sound quality. (via Pocket-lint)
