Starting today, owners of Windows Phone 8 devices out there can download and install a new appealing game on their devices, namely Temple Run: Oz.

Designed by Imangi Studios in collaboration with Disney, the new title comes to Microsoft’s platform with features that are already available in the original Temple Run game, but adds some new ones as well, for a better experience.

“The most thrilling running experience now comes to the yellow brick road! Disney and Imangi Studios present Temple Run: Oz – a brand-new endless runner inspired by Temple Run 2 and the film Oz the Great and Powerful,” the game’s description reads.

“Play as Oz and outrun the shrieking flying baboons as you turn, jump and slide your way across the land. Begin your exhilarating adventure now and see how far you can run!”

The title should prove a great option both to those who already played the first installment in the series, and to users who saw the Oz the Great and Powerful Disney movie.

Some of the main features that users will enjoy when playing the game include:

- Stunning environments inspired by the film – explore them all. - Fly in a hot air balloon – earn even more coins. - Explore different locations in Oz – follow sign posts! - The environment changes as you run – test your reflexes.

Temple Run: Oz is already available for other mobile operating systems out there, including Android and iOS, and expands the range of highly popular games out there that can be enjoyed on Windows Phone 8 devices as well.

Following the release of Temple Run: Brave for Windows Phone 8 in the beginning of the year, the launch of this game shows that Imangi Studios is committed to make more of its popular titles available for Microsoft’s OS.

You can download Temple Run: Oz for Windows Phone 8 from Softpedia today. The game features a price tag of $0.99 (€0.75).
