It looks like developer and publisher Bandai Namco went live with the Tekken 7 website before the game’s arcade release in Japan, which is slated for February 18. The game will be released globally only in March, but an exact launch date has yet to be announced by Bandai Namco.

Nevertheless, we know quite a bit of information about the fighting game since Katsuhiro Harada teased some of the new characters that will make their debut in Tekken 7.

No one will probably be able to forget the Lucky Chole debacle, which almost determined the developers to make this character exclusive to a few regions. Fortunately, common sense prevailed and Lucky Chloe, even though lots of fans hate her, will be introduced in the game and it will be available.

Shaheen is another new character confirmed by Harada several weeks ago. A warrior from Saudi Arabia, he wields a scimitar and is one of the most beloved new characters announced by Harada.

Last but not least, Katarina Alves is a Brazilian woman meant for beginner players. She practices the art of Savate and has been recently introduced into the roster.

Tekken 7 will have 20 playable characters available at launch

While many of the previous characters have been confirmed to be included in Tekken 7, a complete roster was not available until today.

Courtesy to the new Tekken 7 website that went live recently, we now know who we will be able to play with or against. The following characters have been confirmed by Namco Bandai for Tekken 7: Claudio, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen, Kazuya, Heihachi, Lars, Asuka, Lili, Alisa, Xiaoyu, Feng, Paul, Marshall Law, Steve, Leo, Hwoarang, King, Dragunov, and Bryan.

It remains to be seen whether or not Harada plans to add one or more characters for the worldwide release, though it’s less likely that to happen.
