Android is already loaded on a wide range of high-end, powerful smartphones, but it seems that even more of them are expected to arrive on shelves soon, and that one of them will be an LG device, called Optimus Note.

The smartphone was just spotted into the wild, with a sliding form factor, and with the ability to deliver great performance capabilities, courtesy of a Tegra 2 application processor packed inside it.

The chip was reportedly clocked it at 1.2GHz, and might be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, which will help deliver the great experience LG might be aiming at.

Moreover, the new mobile phone is rumored to arrive on shelves with a large 4-inch touchscreen display, a NOVA panel that should deliver a WVGA resolution, which will hide a four-row sliding QWERTY keyboard beneath.

At the same time, the new LG Optimus Note smartphone should arrive on the market with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and video recording capabilities, complemented by a front-facing VGA camera for video calling.

The mobile phone also sports 8GB of internal memory, rumor has it, most probably complemented by a microSD memory card slot to expand the available storage through the addition of memory cards of up to 32GB.

Although a slider, the mobile phone is said to be only 12.3mm thick. It will also include WiFi Direct capability, it seems.

There are no specific details available on when the new LG Optimus Note might become available for purchase, nor on the price tag it might feature when released.

However, the device is yet to become official, which means that these details might be unveiled to the world when LG makes a formal announcement on its existence.

What would be interesting to learn is whether LG will release it as the Optimus Note, or it will consider changing the name, so as not to follow the footsteps of Samsung, which has already launched its Galaxy Note smartphone.
