Gladiatorial cart combat incoming to TF2

Team Fortress 2 is one of the most popular online shooters, largely due to the big number of opportunities and character classes for each type of gamer. From the big Heavy to the silent Spy or the fast Scout, every player can find one character class to enjoy.

As always, the team at TF2 is working hard on updates to the game, and each of these focuses on one specific character class. After the Scout's update a few months ago, the Sniper is gearing up to receive new goodies, courtesy of the development team from Valve.

We already saw his new bow and arrows yesterday, in the form of the Huntsman, and now it seems that, alongside that new weapon, he will also get a new gameplay mode, Payload Race. It will basically work like the old Payload mode, which was introduced in the Medic Update a year ago, but this time the two teams will be able to fight while pushing their own carts through the map. Subtitled “gladiatorial cart combat,” it will certainly guarantee some memorable experiences.

Besides this new mode, which will be featured in a new Pipeline map, the Arena mode will also get two brand-new maps on which the two teams can slaughter each other. Sawmill will be the first map to feature a weather effect, as the Red and Blue teams will be fighting each other in the rain on this abandoned sawmill that has a secret spy base beneath. The second map is Nucleus and it features “a diabolical doomsday device” in the center of an industrial complex in a mountain. Around it there is a radioactive pit that guarantees certain death to anyone who isn't careful.

You will all be able to play on these new maps and modes when the Sniper update will arrive, in the following days, but be warned that a lot of people will connect just so they can enjoy the new goodies prepared by the development team. Look forward to new things in the days to come.
