A more traditional approach

Team Fortress 2 is one of the most popular online first-person shooters in recent years, managing to combine the rock-solid multiplayer of almost any game made by Valve with a wide variety of character classes, each with its own abilities, traits and weaknesses.

The team at Valve has made a habit out of implementing major updates every once in a while, each aimed at a specific class found in the game. We saw the Scout update go live a few months ago, and after the speedy unit the slow Sniper will be the next one to get some new items, weapons and achievements.

This is the first day of the comprehensive update, as Valve will exhibit the items that Sniper will receive when it will go live. Today it seems that the Sniper will get a fairly unusual weapon, in the form of the Huntsman, which consists of a bow and 18 arrows. Yes, that's right, the Sniper will be able to shoot an arrow at his speedy targets, and, if the shot is to the head, it might even kill them, sending the unlucky victims into a nearby wall, for everyone to admire the shooter's handiwork.

If the shot isn't critical however, the victim will continue to walk around with an arrow in his body until he dies, showing that they could dodge the sniper’s arrow. With an 18-arrow load and a one-second charge for full power shots, the Huntsman will certainly be something very interesting for a lot of players who prefer the Sniper class.

Look forward to the following days when the team at Valve will unveil even more new items and achievements for the Sniper, culminating with the release of the comprehensive update, which, as on previous occasions, will be accompanied by a price cut for the game on the Steam online service.
