14 DAY TRIAL // Singer Taylor Swift and “Twilight” heartthrob Taylor Lautner are no longer together, People magazine has learned. The two young stars started dating a while back, after having met on the set of the star-studded romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day,” though they never confirmed being an item to the media.
According to well-placed sources speaking with the magazine, the two Taylors were not even as involved as reports in the media and the blogosphere made it look. In fact, they say, they only went on a couple of dates and then realized that their relationship did not have a future, or, at least, not one that they could be happy with. So, they decided it was time to move on, but they remain good friends as before.
“It was never a big deal to begin with. The media made way more out of it than it is,” a friend of Swift’s reveals for People. “They went out on a few dates and realized this was just not going anywhere,” the tipster adds. Another source, this time from camp Lautner, can corroborate, saying that whatever the two had is now over and was clearly exaggerated in the tabloid media. “They became good friends and then went out a few times, but he lives in LA and she lives in Nashville and their busy schedules kept it from becoming more than it was,” the spy explains.
“The couple, who met while filming the upcoming ‘Valentine’s Day,’ had been spending time together since October. Photographers first got hip to the relationship when Lautner was spotted attending two of Swift’s concerts in Chicago, and the teen stars reunited three weeks later at an LA Kings hockey game. The down-to-earth pair were photographed earlier this month getting cozy over frozen yogurt after dinner at an LA Benihaha, and Lautner even met the ‘rents: Swift’s mother Andrea joined the two for a relaxed dinner at Bistro Garden in Studio City in October,” People goes on to say.
Therefore, some sort of evidence that they were an item does exist. However, the report doesn’t say when the breakup took place, but what is certain is that it’s been a while since the two have not been snapped together.
