The lens was announced back in January, but no actual release date was given

Back in January this year, Nippon optics manufacturer Tamron announced the development of the company's first high-power zoom lens for MFT (Micro Four Thirds) format cameras.

While some of us might have expected to see this lens on store shelves until now, Tamron still hasn’t made any announcements regarding its release date or market price.

The lens comes with a metal barrel exterior available in two colors (black and silver) and features Tamron's highly regarded VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism as well as a stepping motor for quick and accurate auto focusing.

Even though the lens is listed at B&H without a price, it seems that UK-based store Park Cameras has placed a price tag on this lens. The Tamron 14-150mm f/3.5-5.8 Di III VC MFT can now be pre-ordered from the aforementioned store at a price of £600 / €720 / $980.

While this might be great news for some MFT camera owners, the price point is a little higher than expected.
