Both coming soon

It seems that mobile phone users in Italy will soon be able to enjoy two more high-end mobile phones that will get launched on TIM's airwaves, and one of them will be the HTC Magic, which will come with Google's Android operating system, the same as HTC Dream, already available with the carrier, thus making the company the first to offer both HTC Android phones to its users.

There are no specific details on the possible launch date of HTC Magic in Italy, yet the device is reported to already be in TIM's possession, and rumor has it that the company might release it in the same time frame as Vodafone, which has confirmed May 5 as the launch day for it.

TIM seems to have listed the HTC Magic on its site already, which suggests that we are looking at a near launch indeed. The device, which comes with a touchscreen display (no physical QWERTY as the first Android phone), Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS capabilities and a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, is expected to feature a price tag of €449 (about $595).

In related news, we learn that the mobile phone carrier has listed another high-end handset, namely the flagship Nokia N97, which is the first Nseries device the Finnish mobile phone maker includes with the S60 5th Edition operating system. The N97 will be added to the operator's lineup in the near future, with a price tag set at €599 (or $793.38).

For what it's worth, the price TIM lists for the Nokia N97 seems to be a rather leveraged one, yet it is lower than the £669.99 ($980 US) price the unlocked N97 features on Expansys UK. Undoubtedly, the handset provides users with some attractive features, including a 5-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss lens and flash, and GPS capabilities, yet the price is a rather high one, which is pretty common for TIM. Both HTC Magic and Nokia N97 can be seen on TIM's website.
