Mobile phone users in the UK that were expecting for the Nokia N97 to come to the market have now a reason to rejoice, as the high-end touchscreen device has been added to Vodafone's site in the Coming soon section, and it should hit the shelves in July. In addition, the device has been also confirmed by Vodafone Germany, which might suggest that the carrier could launch it in all of its European markets the same month.

The high-end Nseries smartphone is the second touchscreen device running the S60 OS, and it comes around with a large 3.5-inch display, coupled with a 5-megapixel photo snapper, which features Carl Zeiss lens, auto focus and flash. The specs list of the handset shows a 3.5 mm audio jack, along with Wi-Fi connectivity and 3G capabilities.

When it comes to storage, the phone features 32GB of internal memory available, coupled with a memory card slot that supports up to 16GB of additional storage space. Besides the touchscreen display, the N97 also comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, which has been developed so as to slide out from the side at a subtle angle with the display, offering a great view of the screen while typing.

Hopefully, the N97 will indeed come to Vodafone's users in July, though there are chances for it to be delayed. For what it's worth, the smartphone will come this summer, and it is expected to be a little cheaper than the €550 retail price Nokia announced for it back in December.

In related news, we learn that Vodafone is not readying only the Nokia N97 for release, but that the Nokia N86 8MP is also being tested, which might also suggest that the 8-megapixel camera phone could come to the market in the not-so-distant future. Best case scenario, Vodafone will release both N97 and N86 this summer.
