The carrier pulled the tablet from its storefront, price may be changed

The 4G version of the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab will soon be available in Canada from various major carriers, including TELUS and Rogers.

It appears that TELUS' launch event is just around the corner, as the carrier already listed the tablet's suggested retail price, which seems pretty hefty.

Customers who are waiting for the tablet to hit shelves should be prepared to fork out around $650 for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G without a contract.

Unfortunately, TELUS pulled the tablet from its storefront before disclosing other pricing options for the tablet.

The slate is now back on the “Coming Soon” page with no price attached to it. There's a chance that TELUS might have thought about the tablet's high price and will slash it a bit to make it more attractive.

In this regard, Rogers is also expected to release the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G tablet sometime this month, but rumors has it that the carrier priced it $50 cheaper than TELUS.

Although the tablet's hardware configuration recommends it as one of the best available in Canada, its high price will probably make customers think twice before acquiring one.

Hopefully, TELUS and Rogers will offer much better deals on three-year agreements, in order to make the tablet more affordable.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G is equipped with a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and a ULP GeForce graphics processing unit to improve the users' gaming experience.

Two version of the tablet will be available on the market, as 16GB model and a 32GB variant.

However, TELUS only lists the 16GB model on its “Coming Soon” webpage, but once the tablet goes live, customers may be able to choose the 32GB version as well.

There are no details about the slate's exact release date, but it should not take that long now that the carrier is pricing the device.
