T-Mobile USA will start pushing new software updates to users of a Motorola CLIQ or a Samsung Behold 2 as soon as today, it seems, though not the updates that most Android fans on the wireless carrier's network were expecting, that's for sure. Both handsets are expected to receive an update to Android 2.1 in the near future, but the new software solutions being released for them are only maintenance updates, and not the latest flavor of Google's Android OS.

According to a recent post on TmoNews, the software for Behold 2 will start rolling out today, and the update process is expected to be completed for all users until February 25. Moreover, the news site states that those purchasing the handset after February 26 will receive the solution at a later date, as the carrier aims at delivering it weekly for new users.

There are both new features available with the software update for Behold 2, as well as a series of fixes. On the new additions side, we can count Evernote application, Where’s Waldo game and Midnight Bowl 2 game, as well as Music Player auto-play, an “About” phone menu, battery icon status in notification bar now matches screen lock battery status, boot screen animation change, delay reduction for proximity sensor while on a call.

The list of fixed issues includes: - Bluetooth error: Unable to Pair or Unable to connect device - Battery indicator may display more charge than the phone has - Holding menu opens keypad, but does not respond, now goes to contacts - Phone constantly vibrates - Memory card un-mounts and re-mounts intermittently - Music plays automatically when accessing the music player - Incoming emails do not show the return email address - Corporate emails stop syncing

As for the Motorola CLIQ, its users will also enjoy a nice range of enhancements with the new update, including improved battery life, Manage SIM card application, support for .WMA and .WAV media files, improved software performance and stability, improved widget response, the imeem mobile application has been removed, and there are other various fixes included in the firmware too, as well as touchscreen improvements or enhanced GPS tracking, it seems.
