Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was hinted to T-Mobile USA earlier this month via FCC (Federal Communications Commission), the carrier did not confirm the tablet officially until today.

The carrier issued a short confirmation via Twitter and mentions that it will carry the Galaxy Tab 10.1:

T-Mobile confirms that we’ll carry the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks on this awesome tablet.”

[ADMARK=]No release dates or prices have been disclosed yet, but we can assume that T-Mobile USA will go live sometime in October or early November.

Currently, both Wi-Fi and 4G LTE versions of the tablet are retailed in the United States via Verizon Wireless.

T-Mobile's confirmation for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes soon after the carrier reaffirmed its full support for Google's Android platform.

In this regard, the operator has just announced two new Android superphones, the HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy S II, which are meant to counter iPhone 5's upcoming launch that T-Mobile USA ditched.

Obviously, the 10.1-inch slate will be delivered with the latest version of Honeycomb on board with Samsung's TouchWiz UX user interface on top. The tablet is only 8.6 mm thick and weighs 560g (battery included).

Even though T-Mobile does not mention which model will be retailed through its stores, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes on three storage options: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

In addition, the tablet packs 1GB or RAM, a 3-megapixel photo snapper on the back and a secondary 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calls.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, complemented by an ULP GeForce graphics processing unit.

The device covers all connectivity aspects and offers users Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP support, as well as microUSB 2.0 and GPS with A-GPS support.
