Terraplay has announced a new agreement with T-Mobile, according to which they are to host and manage a connected games storefront and community for the wireless carrier.

The service will include an operator branded portal for connected games, as well as a rental and pay-per-play in-game billing platform.

Sven H?lling, CEO of Terraplay Systems, said: "We are actively solving a clear need from the industry for a federating partner who can provide not only an open and flexible community platform but also allow for cross-operator gaming and in-game billing. We welcome the addition of T-Mobile to our service."

Neil Holroyd, UK Games Manager at T-Mobile UK, said: "By partnering with Terraplay we are able to introduce new innovative and flexible billing models providing an exciting community game zone around our games portfolio. We hope that many other operators will join as soon as possible to grow the gamer base even further."

Terraplay is a leading supplier of multiplayer and connected mobile gaming solutions, enabling game publishers, mobile operators and service providers to deliver successful revenue generating gaming services to large communities.

The company is responsible for providing a powerful lobby with community tools for all types of games, multiplayer functionality, in-game micro billing as well as asset download, and can provide the complete solution for connected mobile gaming.

They are also enabling developers to produce head-to-head multiplayer games that offer a rich user experience by providing SDK and tools. There hasn't been an official announcement that revealed the initial game list, but it will apparently include games from 10 publishers.
