Samsung Galaxy Tab, the first Android-based tablet PC from the South Korean mobile phone maker, is on its way to the market in the United States via all four major wireless carriers in the country. Following the official announcement Samsung made last month, T-Mobile has put up a special page on its website, enabling customers register their interest in the new device.

Although T-Mobile announced that it would carry the Samsung Galaxy Tab on its airwaves, the wireless carrier did not unveil official info on when the slate would become available.

The official launch window is “this holiday season” at the moment, but T-Mobile users who will register for more info on the carrier's website should be informed on when exactly the tablet PC lands.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Galaxy Tab comes to the market with a large 7-inch touchscreen display and a slim design, while running under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.

The tablet PC was reportedly designed to offer enhanced multimedia capabilities while offering support for various applications available for download via the Android Market.

Some of the main features of the tablet PC include:

- Watch the latest movies and entertainment or experience thousands of Android Market widgets, games, and apps. - Flash 10.1 support for rich Web browsing, Web video, and amazing browser-based games. - Share moments on the go with a rear-facing camera for capturing and sharing photos, and a front-facing camera for video chat.

The slate is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor and offers support for Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, as well as built-in GPS receiver.

Moreover, the tablet PC also comes with support for various Google services, including Google Maps, along with various ways to keep users connected at all times with their friends and family, such as e-mail, text, IM, or video chat.

Those interested in purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab from T-Mobile should head to the carrier's website here to register for updates on the matter.
