Recently, wireless carrier T-Mobile USA has updated its network to HSPA+ technology, a move which, according to the company, enables it to provide customers with speeds on par with those offered by 4G networks. Thus, the carrier is calling its airwaves “America's largest 4G network,” while touting the advanced speeds it can offer against the speeds of other 3G networks in the United States, as well as against the speeds offered by the 4G solutions.

In order to celebrate the availability of these enhanced services, the wireless carrier decided to put in place a contest for mobile phone users in the country, via its Facebook account.

People interested in the matter won't have to purchase anything to enter the contest, but they would have to “like” the wireless carrier's Facebook page for that.

Here's what one can read on the carrier's Facebook profile, after hitting that “Like” button:

Sharing videos, streaming music, downloading movies—just a few of the things your phone can do on America's largest 4G network. And now's your chance to win your own 4G device and take advantage of T-Mobile's new lightning-fast speeds.

Simply Like our page, then fill out the entry form, and you'll be entered for a chance to win one of our new 4G devices, plus three months of free service.

Be sure to check back often before the sweepstakes ends on December 10th. You can enter once each day, and every entry increases your chances of winning a prize.

America's largest 4G network—a gift to you from your friends at T-Mobile.”

In order to enter the contest, users would have to be 18 years of age or older, and to register by filling out the form on the sweepstakes tab, after “liking” the T-Mobile Facebook page.

“The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 pm, PT on 11/18/10 and ends at 11:59:59 pm PT on 12/10/10. Odds of winning a prize depend on total number of eligible entries received. Void where prohibited. See Official Rules, which govern, at http://bit.ly/4GSweepstakesOfficialRules for complete entry details,” the carrier notes.

When it comes to prises, we can count a T-Mobile myTouch 4G with three months of Unlimited Talk, Text and Web wireless service, along with 2 T-Mobile G2 with Google with three months of Unlimited Talk, Text and Web wireless service, and four T-Mobile Rocket 4G Laptop Stick with three months of 5 GB Overage-Free Data plan service.

Users should be aware of the fact that the T-Mobile HSPA+ 4G network is not available in all locations. All the necessary info on the network coverage can be found on the carrier's website.
