Tethering and Wi-Fi Sharing, two features that you all T-Mobile subscribers were waiting for are on their way to the official announcement. We already reported two weeks ago about some testing of the features on G2 devices, but nothing was official.

According to the guys over Boy Genius Report who got their hands on a T-Mobile official document, Tethering and Wi-Fi Sharing will be launched on November 3rd, but it will require monthly payment.

The Tethering and Wi-Fi Sharing Add-On will have a monthly cost of $14.99 and will allow T-mobile customers to use their phone as a modem, enabling them to connect a computer or Wi-Fi capable device to the Web using the carrier's 3G or HSPA+ network.

Besides the monthly costs, the add-on features require users to own a 3G or HSPA+ compatible device, as well as an Unlimited Web feature with an MRC of $19.95 or higher.

As a side note, T-Mobile informs that FlexPay customers will need to change their Unlimited Web feature in order for the new tethering add-on feature to work.

The official document also states that the data accumulated while tethering will count towards customers’ 5GB data speed reduction threshold limit.

Also, for Android users that already configured their devices for tethering, even though T-Mobile have not permitted tethering in the past, will receive a short message on their device that will explicitly advise them to add the new add-on feature to be able to continue using their device as a modem.

The carrier also advises its customers who purchased a Galaxy Tab to activate with a webConnect plan to ensure the best experience.

There's nothing mentioned in the document about the Wi-Fi calling feature that the carrier was testing two weeks back, which means T-Mobile hasn't decided yet on the price offering or the testing results aren't so good.
