Mobile phone carrier T-Mobile USA has just announced a network expansion, through which is HSPA+ airwaves, rated as 4G, offer connectivity to users in five new markets in the country, including Des Moines, Iowa; Gainesville and Panama City, Florida; Monterey, California; and Savannah, Georgia. The company was already touting its network as the largest 4G network in the United States, now showing that it is reaching users in over 100 metropolitan areas and more than 200 million people nationwide.

Through the new network expansion, even more people in the United States can enjoy access to the fast services the wireless carrier provides.

“With download speeds approaching five mbps in some cities & peak speeds of nearly 12 mbps on its original 4G devices, T-Mobile customers using 4G can enjoy a lightning fast Web browsing experience, uninterrupted video streaming and quicker downloads at no additional cost,” the mobile phone carrier notes.

At the same time, the company notes that its customers have at their disposal a variety of devices that support 4G connectivity, including smartphones and tablet PCs.

Among them, the carrier lists the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, which is touted as “the fastest 4G smartphone running on America’s Largest 4G network,” as well as the T-Mobile myTouch 4G, or the T-Mobile G2 with Google.

Moreover, users can also opt for the Dell Streak 7 tablet PC, also with support for 4G connectivity. In the near future, they would also have the T-Mobile G-Slate (coming from LG) available for them.

On top of that, T-Mobile customers can enjoy the carrier's fast network speeds via “and mobile broadband products such as the Rocket 2.0 Laptop Stick and the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 4G netbook.”

The company notes that it aims at doubling the speeds offered on its network before the end of the ongoing year, offering peak download speeds of up to 42Mbps. Moreover, it aims at covering over 140 million Americans with the enhanced 4G network by mid-2011.
