14 DAY TRIAL // Android is capable of offering a fast, full web experience on T-Mobile's network, something that the iPhone on AT&T or Verizon cannot, wireless carrier T-Mobile explains on their website. This is the latest move the mobile phone carrier makes in the marketing campaign that touts the capabilities of its HSPA+ network, and of the handsets that support it, against those of the Apple iPhone, currently on sale in the United States on AT&T's and Verizon's shelves.
“Take a look at what you get from Android phones vs iPhone. The full web experience, with fast uploads, downloads, and streaming entertainment, all on the fastest 4G smartphones running on America’s Largest 4G Network with the most affordable 4G data,” T-Mobile notes.
The company has been long touting the advantage that customers would benefit from when choosing its network and the appealing Android devices connecting to it, over the more visually appealing iPhone.
“The iPhone 4 is a 3G phone,” the carrier continues. “Despite the ‘4’, both the Verizon and AT&T iPhones run on 3G networks,” they explain.
Indeed, the newly upgraded HSPA+ network that T-Mobile operates in the United States is capable of offering faster connectivity speeds than would the iPhone on the airwaves of the aforementioned carriers.
T-Mobile’s Galaxy S 4G is the latest addition to the Android family of 4G-capable devices that Magenta's customers can choose from.
When announcing its availability, the wireless carrier said that this device would be the fastest Android smartphone in the United States, and it sustains the claim in the new ad campaign as well.
Complemented by cheaper data plans that those available on rival networks, this handset would easily prove itself to be a better option for end-users than the iPhone would, T-Mobile claims.
T-Mobile's data plans start at $10 per month (for a limited period of time) with 200MB of traffic included into the mix.
