System 3, the developer of Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli for the PlayStation 3, said that a downloadable content pack for the game was in the pipeline and might be released as soon as "the next month".

Just before the DLC launch the game is also due to receive a patch designed to fix problems that have been cropping up regarding online multiplayer modes. The patch seems to be basically done on the end of the development team, but it also has to go through a certification process which Sony handles and that can take some time.

A developer said that "As for DLC the first pack will shortly be released, I think its one track and five new cars some of which are beauties." Developers are pretty clear on saying that they plan on creating more DLC for the game until all the Ferrari cars ever built are in Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli and available for all gamers to race with.

The game features 15 international racing circuits that can be raced in a variety of Ferrari made cars some classic and some modern. There's a Testarossa and other surprise cars that can be unlocked in the game. Each of them is completely simulated, both on the graphical level and in regard to the way they handle on the track.

Multiplayer is one of the most interesting things in the game with up to 16 players competing in a host of online modes, with circuits and hill climbs as possible challenges. Even the Nintendo DS version of the game offers wireless multiplayer for 4 players and the Wii version will support the Wii steering wheel.

The support that Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli receives from System 3 will probably be on par with the support Criterion offers for its Burnout Paradise title.
