Nokia 700 promises users a faster and more immersive experience based on the new Symbian Belle operating system.

To make things even more interesting Nokia embedded a powerful 1GHz single core processor along with NFC (Near Field Communication) support.

The smartphone comes with a brilliant 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 360 x 640 pixels resolution, which is based on Nokia's ClearBlack technology.

The medium-size display is protected with Gorilla Glass and features multi-touch input method, along with accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate.

Although the phone packs only 2GB of internal memory, users can expand the storage via microSD card slot, up to 32GB.

Nokia 700 measures 110 x 50.7 x 9.7 mm and weighs only 96g (battery included), which makes it one of the lightest Nokia smartphones available on the market.

It comes with the full range of connectivity options, such as: HSDPA (14.4 Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Blueototh 3.0 with A2DP and EDR support, as well as built-in GPS receiver.

The handset drains energy from a rather small capacity 1080 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 465 hours (450 for 3G mode) of standby mode or up to 7 hours (4 hours and 30 minutes for 3G mode) of talk time mode, as well as up to 47 hours of music playback.
