If you thought SyFy’s recent hit “Sharknado” was dumb, chances are you won’t think any better of another of its upcoming original releases. Called “Ghost Shark,” it will air on August 22, and today we get a brand new sneak peek at it.

First things first, above is the official trailer. The video embedded below is the sneak peak, which sets the tone of the movie: a group of teens are hanging out by the water and having some fun when they’re attacked by sharks.

Only they’re not sharks. They’re ghost sharks!

Coming to take over from Ian Ziering and Tara Reid of “Sharknado” is Mackenzie Rosman of “Seventh Heaven.” Ruthie Camden, how could you?!

“Sharknado” turned out to be a surprise hit with the network because of the hype it got on social media, Twitter in particular. There’s a good chance the same will happen to “Ghost Shark,” but here’s to hoping this will get old fast.
