Having already made her plans of retiring from the spotlight as soon as she’s done promoting her debut album, “I Dreamed a Dream,” known, demand for Susan Boyle continues to be on the rise. Just the other day, rapper 50 Cent was saying he’d like to record a duet with the Scottish singer, and now it has emerged that the Obamas are also looking to book her for a performance in January, ShowbizSpy reports.

According to several well-placed sources, Michelle Obama would want to have Miss Boyle perform at her 46th birthday party on January 17 next year. The special, private performance would also double as a celebration of President Obama’s first year of office, the same sources say. An offer to Miss Boyle has not been officially made yet, but the invitation is to arrive to her soon, it is believed. Clearly, she couldn’t possibly turn it down.

“It will actually be a double celebration because three days later, January 20, marks the first anniversary of the president taking office. I would expect that a formal invitation will be made to Miss Boyle in the very near future. The President and First Lady absolutely love her voice and will be delighted if she agrees,” an unnamed White House says of the “small, intimate gathering” that is currently in the works for the special occasion in January.

As we also reported the other day, interest in Susan Boyle, as unlikely a star as she’s stunning for her incredible crystal clear and strong voice, is sparkling ideas for collaborations in the most unexpected places. Rapper and businessman 50 Cent, for instance, was recently saying he’d like to do a duet with the singer and even take her out clubbing, although chances of the latter actually happening are zero.

“Everyone is talking about her, the lady from Britain’s Got Talent. She’s got an amazing voice, and together we’d get everyone dancing. I’m always looking to do something new and she’s cool, so I’ll ask somebody to let her know. I’d love to take her clubbing, show her around my world. She’d have a great time,” 50 Cent said, as we also informed you.
