The strong character actually has a neck now

This week couldn't have gone by without Capcom releasing another tweaked up Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix character. Yes, the guy that actually has a neck now is none other than T. Hawk. He is the fourth character to be revamped and shown by Capcom. The game's producer has revealed how they work with the old characters on CapcomDigital - pretty neat!

Are you familiar with the expression "A friend in need is a friend indeed?" Yes well, Wikipedia is my friend on this one - I'm a Mortal Kombat fan, not so much a Street Fighter fan, so as Wiki says T. Hawk is the equal of Zangief in strength, but uses more finesse in his attacks. Though large, he can defeat many smaller, more agile fighters with his devastating Rising Hawk, Diving Hawk, and Mexican Typhoon (a.k.a. Storm Hammer) techniques. Unlike most bulky warriors, he does not like to grapple, but he can when necessary.

As I mentioned above, the character shown today actually sports a neck, while the old one doesn't. The producer, Rey Jimenez, explains why: "Just so you know, we tried keeping to the original proportions and he looked like a giant troll. That's why the head was moved up and made a little smaller. Not to say that the old sprite isn't awesome because it is, but in the new style and in better resolution, it just didn't look right."

Jimenez also added the following, as I'm sure most Street Fighter fans want details on the female characters as well: "Chun-Li from last week was, as stated, a work in progress. Her animation has been tweaked to make it look like she's not smelling her hand, as some of you have commented."

I hope they give her a sexy look. One of the reasons for which I'm not such a Street Fighter fan is because the characters looked ugly and, well... normal! I have a two favorite ones though: Vega and Guile. So what if I have two favorite male characters? There weren't enough female characters to go around, OK?

Anyway, just as 1UP points out, with a little bit of luck, Street Fighter fans will finally get a glimpse at some gameplay footage next week at the E3 Media & Business Summit in Santa Monica. Keep close and we'll keep you posted if anything happens till then.

Oh?and, by the way, just like last year, Microsoft is giving you the chance to download and see in HD everything going on at the E3, concerning Microsoft's Xbox 360 of course.
