Turn 10 Studios, as the developer, and Microsoft, as the publisher, have announced the launch of yet another downloadable content pack for Forza Motorsport 3, the racing title that the two companies put out in 2009 and that has seen good sales on the Xbox 360 home console.

The new iteration is called the Summer Velocity Car Pack and adds a variety of fresh cars, from production cars to exotic vehicles and prototypes that few have seen on the road. The DLC pack will cost gamers 400 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace, the equivalent of about 5 real life dollars.

Here's the full list of cars included in the new downloadable content, most of them 2010 models: Lotus Evora Type 124 Endurance Racecar; Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG; BMW Motorsport X6M; 2010 Morgan Aero SuperSports; 2009 Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8; Bertone Mantide; Mazda Mazdaspeed 3; Ford Fusion Sport; Subaru Legacy B4 2.5GT and Peugeot 308 RCZ. The highlights of the pack are the BMW X6M, a car that has both volume and power despite its SUV format, and the Bertone Mantide, one of the most expensive vehicles in the world.

Players who are not interested in picking up the ten new cars can get the Peugeot 308 RCZ, which opens up a multitude of possibilities for tuners for free and take it for a spin in Forza Motorsport 3. The Summer Velocity Car Pack is just the latest launch from Turn 10 Studios, as the company has sought to extend the life of Forza Motorposrt 3 by putting out new cars every few months.

With titles like Split/Second and Blur now out, players might have moved beyond Forza Motorsport 3 but the game is still the most interesting offering in the straight racing genre, which could only be filled by the launch of Gran Turismo 5 from Sony, a title that has seen multiple delays.
