The FOMA F1100 handset running Windows Mobile 6 has just been released at NTT DoCoMo along with the long expected HTC Nike. This other smartphone might be out of its league, but still manages to bring some more affordable and stylish solutions for mobile communication.

Elegance is the main feature that FOMA F1100 has to offer with its slider design. Once opened, the keypad has a white color that looks incredibly stylish next to the dark brown one. The straight, smooth lines make it suitable both for men and women, adding to its elegance. At 112 x 51 x 16.9 mm and 130 grams, this mobile phone proves to be even larger than the HTC Nike that it has shared this release with. That's quite unfortunate, as the handset still looks appealing, with disregard to its large sizes.

Moving past the handset's appealing design, FOMA F1100 has some pretty interesting specifications that reveal it to be a smartphone capable of handling many applications. This includes a web browser, Outlook Mobile, a media player and even a Barcode Reader.

The 2.6-inch semi-transparent TFT LCD screen is capable of supporting a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. This makes it great for watching and writing emails, which responds to the needs of many handset users. One drawback on this mobile phone could be considered the 1.3 megapixel camera, capable of providing captures at a quality below the average.

One thing that will make many people consider FOMA F1100 to be an extremely interesting device is the fingerprint authentication. That will make this mobile phone look like a high-tech perfectly secured device.

FOMA F1100 will be available starting with the first quarter of year 2008, from Japan's largest telecom operator, NTT DoCoMo. The price that this device will come at has not been revealed until now.
