Report says Miley Cyrus is not coping well with stress, has started chain smoking

Disney darling Miley Cyrus is not coping well with the stress of fame and her parents’ divorce: the singer and actress, who just turned 18 yesterday, was photographed chain smoking only a day before.

In recent weeks, Miley has been getting a lot of media for her change of look and sound, but more for the former because many are of the opinion she’s trying too hard and is in too much of a rush to grow up.

After performing at the 2010 American Music Awards, Miley, just like the rest of the celebrities out there with an invite, hit the after-party circuit.

Hours later, photos of her making out with a guy believed to be her latest boyfriend, emerged online. But before that, she was reportedly caught smoking, E! Online reports.

“The babe, who was semi good-girl glam in a Marchesa mini at [Sunday]’s AMAs, seemed stressed-out late Friday night (or rather early Saturday morning) after a night of partying, er, hanging with her pals...” the e-zine writes.

“Cyrus, in black leather books, black skinny jeans, a T-shirt and an oversize leather jacket, was ‘chain smoking up a storm’ at the valet, according to prying (and extremely sober) eyes,” E! further writes.

According to the spy, while Miley was waiting for her ride, she smoked a lot. “She had messy hair and makeup and didn’t look that great,” the spy says for E!.

As we also reported a few weeks ago, Miley’s parents have filed for divorce after being husband and wife for no less than 17 years.

After the divorce announcement, rumors started making the rounds that the singer’s mom, Tish, may have had an affair with Poison frontman Bret Michaels, a close friend of the family and one of Miley’s collaborators.

As if to confirm that there was some truth to the rumor, Miley changed her mind about singing the Poison classic “Every Rose Has Its Thorns” at the AMAs, opting instead for the ballad “Forgiveness and Love” off her “Can’t Be Tamed” album.
