Although they certainly can't deliver the best sound quality possible, FM transmitter are those type of gadgets that can be extremely useful when stuck with an old in-car stereo system that doesn't come with any sort of audio inputs, so New Potato Technologies developed the TuneLink Auto that enables users to play their iPhone music all without using any wires.

In order to do so, the TuneLink Auto connects to your iPhone, iPod or iPad device via Bluetooth, this gadget also coming with a "Share" function which allows multiple users to share the same TuneLink Bluetooth connection and play their music wirelessly through the same car speakers.

Furthermore, New Potato Technologies states that the setup process is so easy that anybody can do it in just a few simple steps, the TuneLink Auto also coming with a free application (available for download from the iTunes App Store) that allows users to control the unit straight from their phone.

Besides Bluetooth connectivity, this gadget also comes with a USB port, that can be used for charging your Apple built device, as well as with a line-out jack.

"New Potato is addressing the hot-button topic of distracted driving head-on in TuneLink. It switches from music to your existing Bluetooth headset when a call comes in,” said Rick Case, Vice President of Sales for New Potato.

When the call is finished, TuneLink switches back to playing your music. The Bluetooth switching is all done without the user having to do anything.

It's great, you never miss a call or a tune and you do it all without taking your eyes off the road,” concluded the company's Vice President.

Although all these promises do indeed sound nice, the TuneLink Auto isn't one of the cheapest FM transmitters available out there, New Potato pricing it at a pretty steep $99.99.
