Online distribution domination

As reported before, the official WTCC game, RACE, will be launched on the PC on November 24th. What is new in the land of tourism cars is that RACE will also be available via Valve's digital distribution system, Steam.

So, on November 24th you won't have to leave your room to go out and buy it, you can download it on your hard drive straight from Steam. If you didn't already know, I must inform you that this game will be developed by Swedish-based company SimBin, company that also developed GTR-The FIA GT Racing Game, GT Legends and GTR2. I guess it's safe to say that RACE won't be a disappointment considering SimBin's experience.

I know some of you can't wait to get your hands on RACE as it promises to be quite an accurate replica of the WTCC championship. It will feature 60 accurately modeled cars and 10 licensed tracks on four continents.

Looks like Steam is trying to further expand their online games distribution domination, grabbing one game after another. Over the past few months, they have made available for download several big name games like: Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, the Call of Duty series, RoboBlitz, Psychonauts and the Civilization series. With this kind of games under their belt, I don't see any competitors for Steam anytime in the near future.
