Why release it if it has so many bugs?

A patch for Dark Messiah of Might and Magic will see the light of day soon, if we are to believe a forum post on the Might and Magic Website. The post reveals what exactly this upcoming patch will fix.

This patch is meant for the multiplayer mode, and will come soon via Steam, but no specific date for its release has been announced. It will fix several bugs, including the "Can't find backround image materials/console/startup_loading.vtf" error. This bug was due to incorrect registry key setting for Steam language. Soon, you won't have to worry about this bug, as the patch will take care of it.

The loading bar will display progress information from now on and the "battle begins" message flicker will also be fixed. If you were annoyed by the need of too much speed when performing a leaping attack, your worries are over, as this bug has also been fixed. Game server is Steam browser will be visible from now on in the standard out of game server browser.

An Nvidia antialiasing mode will be introduced and will prevent users from selecting an antialiasing mode that their video card does not support. The backstab system has also been improved, it has been rendered smoother and it will prevent lockup situations.

If you ask me, these are quite a lot of bugs, and they should have not released the game if there were still so many things to be fixed.
