More heroes for Empire and Rebels will be revealed

The development team at DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are determined to keep the hype train for the coming Star Wars Battlefront running at full speed by delivering small details about the game, which show some of the most interesting moments it has to offer.

The official Twitter account of the title is offering a short teaser video that shows the way Boba Fett can glide around a landscape and pepper his enemies with blaster fire.

The footage is pretty cool, although it does not give a clear indication about the full powers of the character and whether he might be considered overpowered in any way.

During the official reveal of Star Wars Battlefront, the development team at DICE showed video from the game in which a player became Darth Vader and managed to single-handedly clear an entire level of enemies.

Both combatants are part of the new hero system for the title, which allows players to become some of the best-known characters from the movie universe for short periods of time, based on their performance in combat.

So far, DICE has not said how many heroes will be included in Star Wars Battlefront at launch or whom the Rebels will be able to call upon to battle the likes of Boba Fett and Darth Vader.

The shooter will focus on teamwork and the original trilogy

DICE has said that the Battlefront name is a guarantee that players will need to work together to achieve objectives and dominate a level.

The game will not feature classic classes and will allow each player to choose how they want to approach combat.

Both land and air engagements will be simulated, and vehicles like the AT-ST will play a big role, although the full list of those gamers will be able to control has not been revealed.

Most of the battles included will be the ones shown or mentioned in the original trilogy of movies.

Star Wars Battlefront will be launched on November 17 on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

A free Battle of Jakku downloadable content pack, based entirely on The Force Awakens, will be offered to those who place a pre-order on December 1 and one week later to the rest of the player community.
