Star Wars Battlefront is quickly becoming one of the biggest launches of the year, and the development team at DICE is offering all sorts of clarifications about the core game mechanics, even if it is unwilling to reveal more info about some of the main features of the game.

Via the official Twitter account, the company is talking about the mechanics it has already demonstrated and explains that it will be offering more than two heroes for each of the included sides to use.

DICE also says that the number of maps linked to each of the planets in Star Wars Battlefront will vary and that there are clear plans to introduce region-specific elements, including Ewoks that will be present when battles take place on Endor.

The studio has also dismissed the possibility that colors for Stormtroopers will be customizable because it wants to stay as close as possible to the canonical look of the movies on which the game is based.

Despite the limitations, they do have clear plans to allow gamers to tweak the capabilities of their chosen character to suit their play style.

The team is also insisting that a lot of questions gamers currently have will be answered when a demo of the game becomes accessible on the floor of the coming E3 2015 event.

Star Wars Battlefront is the first result of the Electronic Arts - Disney collaboration

The deal between the two companies is designed to generate a number of titles linked to the movie franchise over the next few years, with another unrevealed title currently in the works at BioWare.

Star Wars Battlefront will allow players to become involved in the struggle between the Empire and the Rebels, with most of the conflicts seen or mentioned in the original trilogy accessible to fans.

The Hero system allows players to become a powerful character at certain points, with Darth Vader and Boba Fett currently confirmed as included. More reveals will come soon for those who want to play against the Empire.

Star Wars Battlefront will be out on November 17 on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PC.

Gamers who place a pre-order will be able to get a free downloadable content pack called Battle of Jakku on December 1, filled with content from The Force Awakens, and all others will get access to it one week later.
