Square Enix, makers of the well known RPG game series, Final Fantasy, are keeping themselves quite busy lately with the development on FF XIII for the PS3 (although, if going by the PS3's popularity, it may never hit the console again), The Last Remanant, also an RPG in the FF style, and their latest title announced, Project Sylpheed. They've released a demo on Xbox Live Markeplace. Go check it out!

Square Enix: "If the beautifully animated characters and environments don't catch your eye, piloting the fully weapon-customizable fighter ship through exhilarating battles with swarms of enemy ships and immense vessels will."

Project Sylpheed - as CVG reports - is a Sci-Fi colorful arcade-style space combat game. The downloadable demo is 613MB, so do check out other details on the game found only on the official website, while that download progress gauge reaches 100%.

However, fans are eagerly waiting for the developer to bring some more details on The Last Remnant (mentioned above), which is said to be a completely original RPG title, taking advantage of the power of next-generation consoles, building a lush, real-time fantasy world. Making full use of Epic's Unreal Engine 3, Square Enix is surely coming up with one of the greatest RPGs of all time.

The developer has indeed revealed some of the game's features and mainly regarding the battle system. Gamers will control forces in massive battles between up to seventy different units at once, as a result of the improved battle system.

So, has that Project Sylpheed downloaded yet? Remember it's just demo, so don't make faces if not everything is the way you wanted it to be. Square Enix have their hands full this time of the year. But then again, nobody's pushing them into coming up with more titles either...
