14 DAY TRIAL // It seems that Sprint's customers will soon be able to enjoy a new QWERTY slider in the form of Samsung Exclaim M550, which was spotted before under the name of Lucello, and is now reported to come to the carrier's offering as a successor of Rant, at least this is what some leaked info suggests.
The new Samsung Exclaim M550 comes to the wireless operator's users with a two-way slider form-factor, while also including a larger 2.6-inch QVGA TFT display, which sports a 240 x 320 pixel resolution, as well as support for 262 144 colors. On the back, it should include a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper, which also features video recording capabilities.
Other specs of the phone include Multimedia player, with support for MPEG4 video files and MP3, AAC+ and WAV audio files. The Samsung Exclaim M550 should also come with email capabilities, as well as GPS receiver, speakerphone, Bluetooth connectivity and USB port. At the same time, a microSD/microSDHC memory card slot is meant to offer additional storage space options.
Other usual features will also come with the handset, including PhoneBook (like Caller groups supported, Multiple Numbers Per Contact, Picture ID, Ring ID), Alarm, Calendar, Calculator, TO-DO, Stopwatch, World Clock, Notes, or voice dialing. The Samsung Exclaim M550 is also reported to come with the One Click user interface, offering fast access to social networking sites, as it includes MySpace and Facebook tabs.
The phone is expected to come with CDMA dual-band (800/1900 MHz) connectivity, as well as with CDMA2000 1xRTT/1xEV-DO rev.0, and it includes a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery inside a body that measures 4.41 x 2.13 x 0.69 inches (112 x 54 x 17.5 mm). It seems that the new Samsung Exclaim M550 should be launched on Sprint's airwaves on June 7, yet there are no details on the price tag it will feature.
