CBS and Sprint have recently announced that programming from the most watched network in the US will be coming to the mobile operator with mobilecasts, full episodes and video clips from popular CBS programs.

Sprint will be offering a wide variety of content including live nightly mobile casts of CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, full episodes of Jericho on demand, videos from hit shoes like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Numb3rs, NCIS and Survivor, daily clips from Entertainment tonight, clips from the CBS Paramount library like the Brady Bunch or I Love Lucy and more.

So Sprint customers that greatly enjoy CBS' quality programming, from now on will be able to enjoy all that on their mobile phones. The agreement with Sprint will enable CBS to sell advertising across its programming on the Sprint platform, which at this point isn't a surprise to anyone, as mobile advertising is growing as each day passes by.

With the agreement, CBS will be able to provide an advertising solution for buyers that want ad-time on their content, enabling them to get in touch with the mobile viewers. The adverts will appear as brief commercials before the clips and as spots within the news simulcast.

"With new popular content from CBS,our customers can enjoy even more quality programming anywhere within our nationwide mobile broadband network," said John Burris, vice president of wireless data, Sprint. "We are proud to be recognized as a leader in data services - not only through mobile video, but also award-winning mobile music and location-based services that help make our customers' lives simpler, more productive and more entertaining."
