Samsung's m620 mobile phone that is heading on to Sprint has recently been re-named. It won't be known as the 'Flipper', 'F300' or the 'Ultra Music' but as the 'UpStage'. Why the sudden name change, no one seems to know. The M620 is one and the same with the F300, the only difference being that it's the CDMA version for US carrier Sprint.

What is known is that as the handset is launched at CTIA this week it will be presented with its new name. It's key features include touch-sensitive music controls, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth with A2DP profile, built-in speakers, audio and video streaming capabilities and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion.

The built-in media player comes with support for quite a few file formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+ and WMA. The handset will sport the same dual-face design, with one side dedicated for multimedia capabilities while the other will include the regular numeric keypad other phones have. There is also a flash presentation available of the Samsung UpStage, that can be found here.

As Sprint adds this mobile phone to their lineup, it will probably be the most appealing music phone they'll have to offer, so music enthusiasts will probably keep an eye out for it in stores.

However, there is no information on its price or availability at this time, but as mentioned before, as CTIA starts, all these details will most likely be revealed. Also, according to the last info available regarding this phone, it should start shipping by April the 1st, so expect it to become available in stores pretty soon.
