Sprint has just announced its new Sprint ID service, which allows users to customize their Android smartphones with one click. The Sprint ID application is already coming pre-loaded on three new Android devices that were recently announced: Sanyo Zio, Samsung Transform and LG Optimus S.

Customers will be able to customize their mobile phones with new ID packs, which include specific apps, widgets, ringtones and wallpapers. These ID packs are more than simple themes, as they're including specific content that the user demands.

Either you're an avid sports fan, a casual gamer, a fitness fanatic, a fashionista, a music lover, an auto enthusiast, or you're just looking for a way to improve your business efficiency, you will be able to choose the right ID pack for you.

Some of the names that Sprint teamed up with to offer the innovative service include: Amazon, Blackboard, Comcast, Disney, E!, Electronic Arts, eBay, ESPN, HSN, LatCel, MTV, Notre Dame, Oprah Winfrey Network, RadioShack, Weather Channel, Where and Yahoo!

“With Sprint ID’s dynamic shaping of the Android user experience, Sprint has created a unique approach to helping top brands and corporate customers take full advantage of the dramatic growth of the Android ecosystem,” said Andy Castonguay, director at Yankee Group.

“With Android device growth out pacing a burgeoning field of smartphones, Sprint ID gives companies a rich canvas to leverage that growth and design a multiscreen, interactive experience that provides content and apps to their audiences,” added Castonguay.

Sprint customers can customize their device with up to five ID packs, which can be switched between whenever they feel like. Users won't lose the apps and content they previously loaded unless they're part of the ID they want to remove.

Further, as Sprint ID packs are built using the Android platform, these work across various manufacturers and various devices that will be added in the future.

There are five types of ID packs available for customers according to their needs: Consumer, Business, Wholesale, Education, Hispanic.

Also, a range of lifestyle packs, plus Yahoo!, game packs from Electronic Arts and business packs, will be immediately available with more packs rolling out in this quarter and beyond.

Sprint ID is available through all Sprint channels and national retail partners RadioShack and Best Buy.
