Although Sprint has already put the HTC EVO 3D on pre-order last week, along with several major retailers in the United States, there is still no information regarding the smartphone's release date.

Even though a RadioShack internal memo pointed to June 4th, as the phone's 'rough launch date', it appears the release date was changed, as the retailer does not have the device in its ads for that period.

According to the guys over at AndroidCentral, who got their hands on an interesting advertisement while checking out Sprint's Playbook, the HTC EVO 3D will hit stores on the fourth week of June.

While there's no mentioning of an exact release date anywhere within the ad, its header says: “The Next EVOlution – Week 4: HTC EVO 3D – Glasses Off, 3D On.”

The header is definitely confusing, as it may suggest several things, including a possible release date for the highly-anticipated HTC EVO 3D.

However, it may also mean that the date when the magazine was issued, or perhaps the 4th week the EVO 3D has been featured in the Sprint Playbook.

It's almost certain that the header refers to the fact that this is the fourth week of HTC EVO 3D training in the Playbook, which means that we still don't have an exact release date of the smartphone.

Until more details about the phone's launch date emerge, Sprint customers can only wait and hope for a sooner release.

As a reminder, the HTC EVO 3D was unveiled at the CTIA Wireless 2011 and is the first HTC mobile phone to support 3D content.

The phone is equipped with a large 4.3-inch 3D S-LCD capacitive multi-touch screen with 16 million colors support and 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

The phone is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform with HTC Sense v3.0 UI on top.

The EVO 3D is equipped with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm processor, complemented by an Adreno 220 GPU (graphics processing unit).
