Wireless carrier Sprint is now offering 4G services for users in a number of 70 markets around the United States, with the addition of two new markets into the mix, namely Denver (along with other cities along Colorado’s Front Range, including Boulder, Fort Collins and Greeley) and Bridgeport, Conn.

The new roll-out should result in the availability of better services for the wireless carrier's customers in the said areas, as the 4G services are reportedly up to 10 times faster than the 3G service offered by the operator.

The 4G services would offer faster mobile downloads, video chat capabilities, and improved Web browsing to all users choosing this connectivity option on the first 4G network from a wireless carrier in the United States.

“Sprint is the leader in providing 4G service, and we’re proud to extend our advanced mobile broadband network to two more cities today,” said Matt Carter, president-Sprint 4G.

Sprint is the first national wireless carrier to make 4G a reality for our customers, and now Sprint 4G is available in 70 markets across the country. We are delivering on the promise of 4G to meet the demand from our customers.”

With the new roll-out, Sprint customers in the Denver and Bridgeport areas would benefit from the said 4G services on a series of appealing 4G-capable devices.

Among these devices, we can count the first two 4G-capable smartphones on the US market, namely the HTC EVO 4G and the Samsung Epic 4G.

Moreover, customers interested in t connecting to the network with their laptops, netbooks or other devices, can choose to do so via the Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot available from Sprint.

“For example, tourists visiting Denver’s 16th Street Mall can snap a photo of the Paramount Theater or the Denver Pavilions with their Samsung Epic 4G and use Google Goggles to pull up facts about each using visual search technology powered by Sprint 4G,” the wireless carrier notes.

“Customers can use video chat on their HTC EVO 4G , and families traveling for the holidays from can power up the Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot to share 4G speeds with up to five WiFi-enabled devices – such as an iPad, laptop, iPod Touch or game console – making downloads, streaming video and Web browsing fast and easy.”
