Wireless operator Sprint announced on Wednesday plans to deliver its Sprint 4G services to a wider range of markets in the United States during the ongoing year, following the release of the WiMAX-based services in 27 cities in the country since October 2008. According to the company, the Sprint 4G offering will include turbo-charged mobile broadband, so that users can benefit from peak download speeds that are up to ten times faster than those offered by 3G networks.

The new markets that should enjoy the enhanced connectivity options during 2010 include Boston, Denver, Kansas City, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., Sprint revealed, adding that additional markets will be announced later during the ongoing year. The improved Internet experience will be available for up to 120 million people by the end of 2010, the wireless carrier also stated.

“If you use a computer, a smart phone, a gaming device, a DVD player or any Wi-Fi enabled device, your online life will change for the better when you experience the Sprint 4G difference. And the value of 4G makes using Sprint 3G/4G to enhance all of your wireless devices a no-brainer,” said Matt Carter, president of 4G. “While other national wireless carriers are just talking about 4G, the Sprint Now Network already offers the reality of 4G now in a large number of markets across the country, with many more to follow this year.”

Sprint 4G customers can benefit from a faster and better experience compared to any other wireless services available in the country, Sprint states. The connectivity will be better for any user, regardless the needs one has, such as downloading videos, playing interactive games, or delivering a presentation from a laptop or a smartphone. In addition, the use of a 3G/4G device such as the Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot can enhance the experience even more, through delivering connectivity to up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices at the same time, regardless the location or time, as long as Sprint 4G services are available in the area.
