Today, wireless carrier Sprint and Sierra Wireless announced the availability of Sprint 3G/4G USB 250U mobile broadband modem from Sierra Wireless, a device capable of offering Sprint customers the possibility to enjoy speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G. The new device can be used to connect to Sprint's 4G service in any of the 33 Sprint 4G markets, while also being able to offer 3G connectivity in other markets.

According to the wireless services provider, the new Sprint 3G/4G USB 250U mobile broadband modem comes with a compact size, round design, along with a 180-degree rotating hinge, making it compatible with both horizontal and vertical USB ports. Users can benefit from the device's capabilities with virtually any laptop, regardless whether they want to surf the Internet, download huge files, or stream videos.

Sprint 3G/4G USB 250U comes with support for Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Mac OS. The features list of this device also includes GPS capability, with support for location, navigation and mapping solutions on Sprint's 3G network. The device comes with dual external antenna ports and with LED displays that offer info on the network one is connected to.

The new device is already available for purchase via Business Direct and Business Solutions Partners. According to the wireless carrier, the Sprint 3G/4G USB 250U is expected to be put on sale via all channels in mid-July. The device is available for free after a $50 mail in rebate upon the signing of a two-year service agreement. Users can choose Sprint's 3G/4G Mobile Broadband Connection plan, which costs $59.99 per month and offers unlimited use on the Sprint 4G Network and 5 GB of data on the Sprint 3G Network.
