Music Enthusiasts that were considering getting a Samsung UpStage from Sprint Nextel will now be able to do so while exchanging a significantly lower sum of money.

Although the same as the 'F300' Ultra Music, upon its arrival on wireless carrier Sprint, it has also suffered a name change to UpStage. A couple of months after its release on Sprint, the phone's price has already been reduced considerably.

The phone?s spec sheet includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth for connectivity with A2DP profile, audio and video streaming capabilities as well as a media player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+ and WMA files.

Since it?s a phone with quite a few multimedia capabilities, a lot of storage space is mandatory thus the handset includes a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion.

One of the key features of the UpStage is its dual-face design, one side being dedicated to multimedia capabilities while the other includes the usual numeric keypad and serves for the basic functionality of the phone like making and receiving calls or navigation through the menu.

The CDMA handset is now available for as little as $100 on the carrier's website. It is not a big surprise that the phone's price was reduced, but it is a big surprise that Sprint has decided to do this so soon after its release. Coupled with Sprint's new music service offering tracks from $2.50 to 99 cents, many customers are very likely to drop by a Sprint store quite soon. Several other phones have recorded price cuts, including the M610 that is now $130 (formerly $150) and RIM's Blackberry 8703e dropping from $200 to $150.
