Plus other interesting devices

The Palm Treo Pro has been expected to be launched on Sprint for some time now. However, since the earlier model enjoyed some success, the company decided to postpone the release for January 25 so that the 800w could enjoy its glory while it lasted.

This seems to be the most interesting release for the first month of 2009 and the registered price appears to be around $549 on the no-contract version, and $249 for a one-year deal, probably after the rebates.

The other highly discussed new entry could be a pink version of the Samsung Instinct, which is said to cost around $449.99. This mobile could create quite a bit of stir as well, set to become one of the devices that will make Sprint happy, should we consider the pink version’s success.

In addition, this Samsung will be featuring a full touchscreen with haptic feedback, EVDO Rev A data speeds, a custom touch user interface and capabilities such as TV Music, Navigation and LiveSearch. On top of all this, the mobile has a 2 Megapixel camera and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Technically speaking, the device is pretty impressive, featuring 2GB of memory, but the real treat will be offered by its commercial look.

Sierra will also be launching its next generation USB model, the 598U at Sprint. The device that includes a built-in antenna, Sprint SmartView, Hands-Free Activation and the microSD card slot is set to replace the earlier model on the 7th of January 2009 just as the Samsung Instinct, and it has been priced at $249.99.

The next release is another Samsung, on which there isn't much information so far, but it has been set to be available for $299.99, it is going to be known as the Rant and will be coming in purple. The mobile brings the One Click user interface and has been recognized as a very appealing device for messaging. This device has been set for release a little later, on the 25th.

Last, the Motorola i365IS does not impress with features similar to any of the other devices mentioned, delivering a military specification certified act, should you be interested, and it has been said to be highly useful for industrial and utility users.
