A few days ago, word got out that Spencer Pratt, the husband of Heidi Montag, was so broke that not even his agent would pick up his calls. Since the report, Spencer has been telling friends that he’s not broke and, even better, that he’s no longer interested in working in Hollywood.

As we also informed you at the time, “sources” were telling the tabs that Pratt had become persona non-grata in showbiz completely, owing “hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions” to his agent.

He kept calling said agent to get a job, but he was refusing to pick up or return his calls until he paid him. As such, Pratt’s situation was deemed rather desperate.

All that is a lie, Spencer has been telling friends, as per TMZ. Not only is he no longer interested in working in Hollywood but he doesn’t even have an agent.

As such, reports that he’s broke and heavily in debt are bogus.

“Spencer Pratt is telling friends he does not owe hundreds of thousands of dollars to his former agent, despite reports to the contrary, because he’s NEVER had an agent!” TMZ writes.

“TMZ spoke with sources close to Pratt who tell us the couple worked with a lawyer when they were negotiating their deals for ‘The Hills’ back in the day, but they never involved an agency. We’re told Spencer insists the lawyer was paid in full,” the same report further argues.

Since being fired from “The Hills” and after several attempts at relaunching his television career, Pratt has come to terms with the thought his 15 minutes of fame are over and is now looking into other career options.

“We’re told Spencer is now studying political science at USC and at the moment, he isn’t actively pursuing work in Hollywood,” TMZ notes.

Heidi, on the other hand, the same source says, does have an agent and he’s being duly paid. She has “several” projects in the works at the moment.
