Namco Bandai Partners has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment to publish Demon's Souls in European regions. The game will receive a special edition for the territory and will be arriving exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on June 25.

It has been developed by From Software and one of the surprise hits of 2009 in Japan and North America, where it was published by Atlus after Sony determined that porting it would not be profitable.

European gamers can look forward to getting a package including the Demon's Souls game disk, a new artbook in a hardback format and with concept and game art, which shows how the game evolved, plus a CD containing the entire soundtrack. Those who are interested in getting the title can now place their preorders as Namco Bandai says stocks are limited.

Demon's Souls is a role playing game and much of the reputation it has made for itself is linked with how ruthless it is towards the player, with even the smallest mistake leading to a quick death. Hardcore gamers quickly embraced the challenge offered by the videogame. Demon's Souls also offers complex interaction abilities for the multiplayer element, with players able to leave hints for other players and with cross play allowing for both cooperative assaults on bosses and for versus battles and backstabbing.

Olivier Comte, who is the vice president of marketing at the Sales & Publishing division of Namco Bandai Partners, stated, “We’re very pleased to be working with SCEI to bring the fantastic Demon’s Souls to gamers outside of Japan and North America. The game is exactly the kind of quality experience with which we are continuing to grow the NAMCO BANDAI Games portfolio of titles, and we will be working hard to ensure it’s at least as much of a success in our markets as it has already proven to be elsewhere.”
