Last week, we saw that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and 10.1 would soon be making a stop at Verizon. But big red is planning to bring another recently launched slate onboard, as well.

Now we get word from the trust-worthy @evleaks that Sony’s latest flagship tablet, the Xperia Z2 Tablet will soon arrive with the carrier.

The device saw the light of day for the first time in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress a few months ago, in February. Since then, the tablet has been widely made available, but in its Wi-Fi form.

However, the LTE variant is not far from us. The Twitter post doesn't offer any insights when the tablet is due or how much it will be priced, although Verizon will surely offer it under a 2-year plan.

Sony’s latest flagship tablet arrives with a 10.1-inch screen with 1920 x 1080 Triluminos display bundling Sony’s new Live color LED tech. This system blends red and green phosphor with blue LEDs in order to provide a bright, uniform light.

A 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor unit pumps life into the tablet, fitted with 3GB of RAM. The slate also takes advantage of Sony’s Front Surround dynamic audio, noise canceling tech, capable of blocking up to 98% of ambient noise if used in combination with noise canceling headphones.
