Regarding inFamous and Uncharted 2

Sony's PlayStation 3 console hasn't been doing so well in terms of exclusivities ever since it was launched. Even though its executives revealed that they weren't just paying off developers to bring a title only to one platform, but were actually working together to provide the best experience on a PS3, the lack of blockbuster best-sellers made a dent in the sales of the console.

However, things are looking up now, as popular franchises are returning to the big black box, as well as new projects, which aim at using all the hardware power that the PlayStation 3 has in order to provide a fresh and new experience.

We are talking about the upcoming inFamous and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, both of which are highly anticipated titles. Counting on that fan response, Sony has begun to tease those who visit the US PlayStation website, revealing that an “electrifying announcement” will appear on Monday. This might not be very much, but there are images of the aforementioned games, which prompted a lot of speculation over the Internet.

Regular gamers and analysts alike have very biased opinions, with some of them even saying that, as inFamous will ship, at the end of May, a demo for Uncharted 2 will be bundled with it, in hopes of generating big sales for the brand new IP.

If such a thing is true, then this might be a winning move from Sony, which hosted two media-only previews of the two games recently, which are under embargo until Monday. Hopefully we will see a worthy announcement from the company, which already lost points with fans when it hyped the price cut of the PlayStation 2, as everybody expected one for the PS3. Until Monday though, we still need to wait.
