20,000 PS3 fans disappointed

Considering the recent turmoil that Sony is going through, banning PlayStation exports and canceling some eBay PS3 pre-orders the news that they are going to miss their PS3 shipment target comes as no surprise.

As the Japanese PS3 launch is scheduled for November 11, IGN reveals that Sony will not ship 100,000 units as planned, but they will miss their mark by 20,000 units, shipping only 80,000 PS3's. Until now no word of any shipment target miss for the US market has been announced. But I bet no one will be surprised if Sony does some thing of the sort. Let's hope that the 400,000 units target planned for the November 17 North American release will be met.

Recently the first PS3 Titles were announced and the list includes: Call of Duty 3, F.E.A.R., the Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Madden NFL 07, Ridge Racer 7, Sonic the Hedgehog, Need for Speed: Carbon, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, Full Auto 2 Battlelines, Untold Legends dark Kingdom and Tony Hawk's Project 8.

Recently, rumors have come out that the first 500,000 PS3's will come with a Blu-Ray version of Talladega Night: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby starring Will Farrell.
