Another first person shooter soon

Word on the web is that some new content is available for the latest installment in the Call of Duty series. Seems peculiar enough as the title was not released yet. We will have to wait until November 7 to try out the game. Even tough the game depicts acts of war and violence, it has been rated by ESRB-"T" for teen.

Call of Duty 3 will have PlayStation2, Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and Xbox support, but the content is available only for Xbox users. The people that handle the Xbox Live Marketplace and Activision decided to upload some never-seen-before content: some new sets of gamers pics, like flags of the Allied Forces, heroes of the various armies and campaigns and the games' authentic weapons. Furthermore, some new dashboard wallpaper sets are available, including WWII pin-up posters, some concept art of the Call of Duty 3 heroes.

Unlikely as it may seem, Call of Duty 3 will not be released for the PC or GameCube, but Amaze will develop it for the PSP. What a smart move on their part, especially that all the other installments in the Call of Duty series are available through Steam.
